is energized with a pulse causing an electromagnetic flux field to form. The injector piston acts as a conductor to the field -- attracted to it and moving upward. Mechanical resistance (due to lower lubrication) just means the piston doesn't move as easily or prehaps as far as it should. The coil isn't sensing this issue -- still delivers the same strength magnetic field regardless of the mechanical resistance.
Maybe I'm wrong here in my thinking? -- do agree at first glance the chemists explanation sounded good!
